Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Filmed in Northern California in 1917, this low-budget silent Western from poverty row company Robertson-Cole (later FBO) starred Beatriz Michelena as Starr Dowell, the daughter of a murdered homesteader (Jeff Williams) who turns herself into a masked avenger. A former opera singer hailing from New York, Beatriz Michelena's screen career was already over when Flame of Hellgate was finally released in 1920. She was married to her director, George Middleton.
