Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Commissioned as an adjunct of a Canadian Savings Bond promotion, the CBC dramatic anthology First Performance debuted on October 3, 1956. The first of the series' 90-minute dramas was "Time Lock," written by Arthur Hailey of Airport fame. Patrick MacNee, Everett Sloane, Leslie Nielsen, and Lloyd Bochner were among the prominent actors appearing on the series. Broadcast irregularly throughout most of its run, First Performance briefly aired on a biweekly basis in the fall of 1957. Its final telecast occurred on November 4, 1958.
