Synopsis by Daniel Gelb
After the suicide of his sister, a gay First Nation Canadian (Andrew Martin) struggles with the decision to either remain with his family and tight-knit community or leave to explore the world outside their reservation. Directed by Adam Garnet Jones, this heartfelt drama confronts Canadian aboriginal life and the clash of tradition and modernity. Fire Song received its world premiere at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival.
