Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Paul Andrews (Eric St. Clair) returns from the World War (there was only one in those days) with Buddy, a dog he found in Europe (Rin-Tin-Tin, who was actually found during the war as a puppy). Instead of getting a warm welcome, he finds his sweetheart, Caroline Blair (June Marlowe), missing. As if that weren't bad enough, Buddy is taken away and put in the pound. Andrews hops a freight on its way up north, and Buddy escapes from the pound to join him. They land in a lumber camp and save a girl from an attack by Martin Dains (Pat Hartigan). The girl turns out to be Caroline, and it turns out that her stepfather, Gregory Mills (Charles Hill Mailes), is stealing lumber with Dains' help. They frame Andrews, and then Dains kills Mills and tries to put the blame for that on Andrews, too. Andrews is about to be convicted when Buddy tracks down Dains and scares him into confessing to his wrongdoings.
