Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

This film-oriented drama is an avant-garde retread of the Faust legend in which reality and imagination are confounded. Faust in this instance is a relatively good-hearted 30-year-old who has just lost both his source of income and his wife (divorce). What happens next is either his imagination, reality, or nightmares. He goes berserk and shoots some very nasty people, he takes great risks to do a favor for a casual acquaintance (the devil in disguise), he repeatedly sees a young, innocent, yet alluring woman, and it is never clear to which state of mind each of these events belongs. With liberal doses of symbolism and comedy thrown into the mix, director Carlos Reichenbach has created an intriguing and irreverent film.
