Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Filmed in Australia, Fighting Breed is a Fairbanks-like comedy/drama set on a sprawling ranch. Red "Snowy" Baker plays the scion of a wealthy ranching family, who for reasons of his own poses as an impecunious greenhorn. In this guise, Baker proves his worth without relying upon his family name or bank account. Billed second in the cast is Wilfred Lucas, who also directed the film and co-wrote it with his wife Bess Meredyth. Years later, Meredyth would divorce Lucas and become the bride of another prominent director, Michael Curtiz (who frequently, and somewhat sadistically, hired the ageing Wilfred Lucas for uncredited bit roles during the talkie era).
