Synopsis by Tracie Cooper
Directed by Gyula Gulyas, Feny Hull Arcodra ("Light Falls on Your Face") is based on a short story written by Transylvanian poet Laszlo Kiraly, and follows a couple whose attraction to one another grows as the city around them decays after a lost war. Both dressed in military attire, a man (Lorand Vata) and woman (Klara Tampa) have found a widowed schoolteacher (Jozef Biro) willing to allow them to spend the night in his house. The haunted pasts of both characters are revealed through a series of flashbacks--Vata's character has miraculously escaped from a shooting squad, and Tampa spent her childhoold in a much happier era of the now war-torn town. These shared experiences, despite their grim nature, only prove to aide in the love building between the couple. Feny Hull Acodra also features Attila Gasparik, Tibor Palffy, Agnes Kovacs, and Zoltan J. Fulop.
