Synopsis
The efforts of Father Roy Bourgeois, a peace activist, to close the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security and Cooperation (formerly the U.S. Army School of the Americas) at Fort Benning, Ga., are detailed. Bourgeois and others say that the institute trains Latin American forces in terrorism and torture; the Army contends that the center teaches military tactics and human rights. Included: a profile of Bourgeois, a Vietnam veteran. Susan Sarandon narrates.
