Synopsis by Robert Firsching

Frequent Jackie Chan collaborator Bill Tung headlines this 1930s-set comedic Hong Kong period piece from director Hsu Hsia. Tung plays Uncle Piao, a cunning pickpocket recently released from jail. Along with a pair of eager students, Piao leads police captain Tieh Li-wei (Lo Mang) on a merry chase while dodging the sometimes deadly targets of his operations. After accidentally stealing the wallet of a powerful triad gangster, the pickpockets are almost killed, and their peril grows when they try to fleece a casino run by the same hoodlums. Luckily for Uncle Piao, Captain Tieh is in love with his daughter, and the two join forces to stop the greater evil of the triad mobsters when they try to gun down the police commissioner. Chin Siu-ho co-stars in this rousing comic actioner with Shaw Brothers stalwart Johnny Wang and Charlie Cho.
