Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
The talented musical clan that inspired The Partridge Family serves as the subject of this documentary from filmmakers Louise Palanker and Bill Filipiak. A product of the Baby Boomer generation, The Cowsills were topping the charts in the late 1960s. Five years later, however, they had faded into obscurity. In this film, Palanker and Filipiak reveal how The Cowsills' charismatic public personas contrasted sharply with their highly secretive family life, sowing the seeds of resentment that would ultimately lead to their slow self-destruction as one of America's most beloved bands.
