John Dehner guest stars as slick con artist Professor Cornelius Clyde, who proceeds to give local huckster O'Rourke (Forrest Tucker) quite a run for his money when arrives in Fort Courage. Beating O'Rourke to the punch by convincing the troopers that they're buying gold-rich land, Clyde all but assumes control of O'Rourke Enterprises. It takes a visit to the Hekawi tribe to foil Clyde's scheme--but not until a final volley of crosses and double-crosses on both sides.
