Synopsis by Elizabeth Smith
Microphotography and animated characters play a critical role in this Eye of the Cyclops episode about various types of protozoans and algae that thrive in pond water. Three-dimensional animation creates the illusion that a small crew of people are traveling inside an underwater vehicle as it passes by different floating organisms. While the objects are being named, children are also taught how scientific discoveries are made.
