Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Beth B.'s documentary Exposed showcases a handful of artists who perform in modern burlesque shows. While the new-school of of this old-timey entertainment still involves a healthy dose of nudity along with comedy, many of today's practitioners bring an envelope-pushing quality to their act in order to make audiences confront their own prejudices and feelings about issues surrounding gender. The filmmakers show how many of these performances create their act, and detail the personal struggles many of them must face.
