Hong Kong filmmaker Chu Wai-kwong tried a serpentine twist on The Wasp Woman -- which had been remade for American cable the previous year -- with this softcore Category III thriller. Penny Ng (Carrie Ng) is a top insurance agent who gets her wealthy clients to raise their premiums by having sex with them. But when her clients begin to turn up dead with traces of snake DNA in their veins, Penny attracts the suspicion of policeman Sam Hui (Bowie Lam). Sam's suspicions are quite justified, as Penny suffers from a strange condition requiring periodic injections of snake serum caused by her involvement in a disreputable beauty research project undertaken by Russian scientists. Diana Pang co-stars with Mak Cheung-cheng and Yung Sai-kit.
