Synopsis by Mark Deming

Legendary animators John Hubley and Faith Hubley directed this film based on the writings of psychoanalytic theorist Erik Erikson. The film uses a ride on a carousel as a metaphor for the challenges and transformations that each person faces as they travel through life.
