Synopsis by Alice Day
The grieving process can be very complex, and varies from person to person. When a woman suddenly loses a beloved husband, she is still experiencing profound sadness a year later. Her grief has resulted in physical problems, including an inability to sleep well and substance abuse. Her life seems to hold no joy or any hope of progressing to a more optimistic outlook. She goes on a trip, and encounters an ice cream seller, who is the pivotal element in her return to a normal life. Eskimo Ice Cream Shoes illustrates how the suppression of emotion can plunge an individual into a vicious cycle of behavior.
