Synopsis by Mark Deming
In 1992, synth-pop duo Erasure was staging its "Phantasmagorical Entertainment" tour in support of the album Chorus when they appeared at the Manchester Apollo Theatre with a camera crew in tow to record the proceedings. Erasure: The Tank, the Swan, and the Balloon Live! features Vince Clarke and Andy Bell performing their dance-friendly hits before an enthusiastic audience. Selections include "Sometimes," "Chains of Love," "A Little Respect," "Lay All Your Love on Me," "Ship of Fools," "Take a Chance on Me," "Waiting for the Day," and many more.
