Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Documentary filmmaker Dave O'Brien follows a group of thirty-three gay, college-aged Christians on their quest to fight for equality by traveling to college campuses where LGBT students have been forbidden from living and loving who they chose. As expected, some colleges welcome the "Soulforce Freedom Ride" with open arms while others renege on promises and even threaten to have them arrested for trespassing. As the fight intensifies and the team attempts to open a dialogue with administrators and students, the members are frequently forced to choose between compromising and taking the fight off campus. Along the way, they share their own inspiring stories about embracing their true sexuality in environments that aren't always so accepting of non-traditional lifestyles.
