Telecast as part of the CBC's Friday-night lineup, En Route was one of the few English-language programs to emanate from the network's Montréal facilities. Each half-hour episode was devoted to a prominent Québec musician, filmed in concert performances at various locations throughout Canada. Catherine McKinnon went along for the ride as host and narrator. An interesting precursor to such American series as The Road, En Route was originally seen from August 9 to September 13, 1974.
