Emmanuelle & Joanna is still another chapter in France's soft-core Emmanuelle series. In this one, Emmanuelle is a newlywed bride who must suffer abuse and neglect from her oafish husband. She escapes to a house of prostitution, runs by her sister Joanna. Here she "rediscovers" herself erotically. Emmanuelle returns home with a fuller appreciation of her own worth-as well as a fondness for partners of her own gender.
