Synopsis by Alice Day

Dr. Jane Goodall is best known for her pioneering work with chimpanzees in Africa. She was chosen by Dr. Louis Leakey, famous anthropologist and paleontologist, to take part in a chimpanzee study in the Gombe River Stream. In The Eminent Scientist: Jane Goodall: A Life in the Wild, she shares her memories of her work, and her discovery that chimps are able to make and use tools. In this series of films, young students from sixth grade and up will get a good look at how scientists can nurture an interest in their fields from a very early age.
