Emerging Powers: An Insiders Look, Vol. 1 -- Brazil details the collapse of the socialist agenda that dominated Brazilian politics in the 1980s. The reverberations from the collapse of the Soviet Union reached Brazil, leading to more cooperation between employer and employee, which is in contrast to the violent worker strikes of the early '80s. The program looks at Brazilian TV, new high-tech farming techniques, the rise of the ultra-modern city of Curitiba, and Brazil's computer market, which is the fastest growing in the world.
