Zoltan (Gyorgy Palos) is a young doctor who accidentally causes the death of a woman while he attempts to abort her child. Not sure what he should do, he goes home to see his elderly father. While there, he falls in love with a young woman who encourages him to confront his situation with courage. After his father dies, Zoltan further inspects his own life and finds an inner strength he did not previously have.
