Debuting Sunday, September 15, 1974, over Canada's CBC network, Elements of Survival was a three-part public affairs series focusing on the future of humankind. Heavy emphasis was placed upon overpopulation, dwindling food supplies, and the ever-eroding environment. Doug Lower handled virtually all the production responsibilities, while CBC veteran George Finstad served as narrator. Ending its original run on September 29, 1974, Elements of Survival was rebroadcast from July 6 to 20, 1975.
