Synopsis by Mark Deming
In 1978, Electric Light Orchestra was one of the biggest names in pop music when their elaborate stage show (complete with a flying saucer that delivered the band to the stage) touched town at London's Wembley Arena for this live concert video. The band's 13-song set includes the hits "Telephone Line," "Turn to Stone," "Mr. Blue Sky," "Livin' Thing," "Roll over Beethoven," and "Do Ya." As a bonus, this home video release also features nine studio-shot concept videos the band prepared for their 1979 album Discovery, including "Don't Bring Me Down," "Midnight Blue," and "Shine a Little Love."
