This gritty crime thriller concerns a dealer on the lower echelons of the drug trade who adopts the nickname El Cochicilo en homage to a feared and legendary criminal. Desperate for notoriety, he abducts a high-profile journalist known for his reportage on organized crime. The FBI and the Colombian mob attempt to close in, but before they can do so, Cochicilo decides to disclose everything he knows about the underworld and drug pushing to the eager writer. He also relays his life story, from his humble beginnings teaming up with a capo named El Colorado to the day when money, power and the violence necessary to sustain both became completely overwhelming.
