Synopsis by Hal Erickson

El Camino de las Llamas is based on a novel by best-selling South American author Hugo Wast. The heroine is Argentine mountain girl Pepita Serrador, raised by her father to behave like a man in order to defend herself. Upon attaining adulthood, Serrador assumes command of a band of gauchos, all of them dedicated to guarding a long and winding road against invasion from Chile. In an attempt to gain control of the road, Chilean officer Jose Olarra romances Serrador, even though his heart belongs to Indian maiden Elisa Galve. This romantic triangle results in tragedy for the principals, but the long-range result is the end of hostilities between Chile and Argentina.
