Synopsis by Mark Deming
This made-for-TV drama, based on a series of popular novels by Ed McBain, stars Randy Quaid as Steve Carella, a police detective investigating a series of grisly murders. A serial killer is targeting women who compete in track and field events, and Carella and his team have to find the perpetrator before he can strike again. Supporting cast includes Ving Rhames, Alex McArthur and Eddie Jones; directed by Bruce Paltrow, whose daughter Gwyneth has done all right for herself in the film industry.
