Synopsis by Nathan Southern
The word "eatrip" is actually an amalgam of "eating" and "trip"; the Japanese perceive existence itself as an "eating trip" - not simply a constant series of intersections between eating and living, from birth until death, but a process that can foster and advance various interpersonal relationships. This documentary from director, instructor and food coordinator Yuri Nomura leads the audience on a journey through contemporary Japan, to examine how this philosophy permeates various aspects of Japanese society.
