Synopsis by Robert Firsching
Greek filmmaker Andreas Thomopoulos wrote and directed this engaging film about a young medical student named Pavlos (Pavlos Sidiropoulos) who drops out of school after arguing with his professor (Stavros Xenidis) and his father. Typical of young Greek men in the post-military period, Pavlos' nagging insecurity and existential feelings of hopelessness lead him to break away from society in search of deeper truths. As a result, his girlfriend (Betty Livanou) dumps him and Pavlos has to earn a living by singing and playing guitar in the streets. It's a somewhat liberating experience for Pavlos, and he starts to get his act together when he meets the love of his life (Eleni Maniati). Eventually, he marries her, puts down his guitar, and becomes a doctor, deciding to work within the system to effect change. Vera Krouska and Kostas Vrettos co-star.
