Earthworm Jim's sidekick Peter Puppy has a problem: whenever he gets irritated or stressed, he turns into a vicious dog-monster that's as much a menace to friend as foe. Jim is forced to fire his loyal sidekick when he monsters out once too often and lets Professor Monkey-for-a-Head get away. Meanwhile, Queen Slug-for-a-Butt plots with Psy-Crow to kidnap her sister, Princess What's-Her-Name, in order to ransom her for the smitten Jim's super-suit. But before Jim can rescue his beloved princess, he has to find a worthy sidekick at Hero Hutch.
