Duke Ellington stands as one of the prominent figures in American music during the twentieth century. This concert film features footage that originally aired on Danish television. Two different sets are included. The first features Ellington as part of a jazz octet performing classics like "Take the A Train," "Sophisticated Lady," "Things Ain't What They Used to Be," and "Passion Flower." The Second set showcases Ellington at the piano and features renditions of "Take the A Train," "Lotus Blossom," and "Mood Indigo."
