Synopsis by Mark Deming
"Uncle" Duke, the counterculture journalist-turned-international scam artist with a thousand schemes up his sleeve (from the long-running comic strip Doonesbury) hits the campaign trail in a brave but futile bid for the presidency. Duke 2000: Whatever It Takes offers a computer-animated version of Garry Trudeau's character in a number of Internet cartoons (and several appearances on television news shows, such as Today and Larry King Live) in which he takes his reckless platform on the road as a Reform Party candidate for the White House.
