Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
A woman who once had aspirations of becoming a singer dropped her professional goals when she married, and now only sings in the bathroom or at work -- though she has kept up practicing with an old teacher. While at work one day, she is singing away in the bathroom when a plumber joins her and then tells her it has always been his own ambition to sing professionally as well. They conspire to realize their dreams when they set up a duet in a local cafe that features such performances -- and their rendition of a lover's duet from "Madame Butterfly" changes their lives. Now the woman is ready to face her bland husband with the news that singing makes her come alive and is a necessary part of her existence -- a bold move that may or may not prove successful. This film won a Special Mention at the 1981 Locarno Film Festival.
