Synopsis by Mark Deming
One of Ireland's best loved traditional folk groups, the Dubliners have been keeping the rough and tumble side of Celtic music alive since 1962, and this documentary offers a look at the band's history as they celebrate their four decades together. The Dubliners: 40 Years -- Live From the Gaiety features interviews with the members of the group as well as footage from a special anniversary show at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre. Songs include "The Irish Rover," "Seven Drunken Nights," "Dirty Old Town," "Whiskey in the Jar," "The Foggy Dew," and many more.
