Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Three screenwriters continue to pursue their dreams despite the fact that the odds of succeeding in show business are overwhelmingly stacked against them in director Daniel Snyder's intimate look at the lengths people will go to in order to accomplish their greatest goal. David is an ambitious talent agent's assistant who has his finger on the pulse of "young Hollywood" and three scripts currently making the rounds. Joe is a middle-aged husband and father who divides most of his time between writing what he believes will be the great American screenplay and caring for his autistic daughter. Lastly, Deborah longs to take her place in film history as one of the few African American women to both write and direct her own feature film, yet she can hardly pay her bills much less find the funds needed to produce her script. As David, Joe, and Deborah all struggle to find a means of making their dreams of success come true, Snyder seeks out the wisdom of such seasoned screenwriters as Nora Ephron, James L. Brooks, Carrie Fisher, and Scott Alexander in order to learn the truth about summoning inspiration and keeping the dream alive in one of the most competitive marketplaces on the planet.
