Small town girl Pooja has spent too long living with her dreams out of reach. Tired of being told that, as a woman, she can never achieve her goals, she sets out for the big city, hoping that Mumbai can offer the opportunities she yearns for. She soon meets a talented film director named Shekhar, who sees in her the superstar potential that has never been nurtured. Together, they work to make Pooja more than just a working actress but a serious, respected artist.
