The battle between Goku and Frieza finally gets under way. Miraculously, the much-stronger Frieza loses the first round to the newly revitalized Goku. But Frieza launches a counterattack which transforms the planet Namek into a living volcano. The aptly titled DragonBall Z episode "The Ultimate Battle" made its Japanese TV debut on April 17, 1991. It was shown in America on October 6, 1999 as part of the series' "Frieza Saga."
