With the seven Dragon Balls safely back on earth, King Kai formulates a plan to rescue his allies --- and the planet Namek--from the still-rampaging Frieza. Back on Namek, the final battle between Goku and Frieza continues unabated. Meanwhile, Kame and Popo try to put Kai's plan in action--but before they can do so, Namek goes into its death throes. First telecast in Japan on July 17, 1991, "Approaching Destruction" made its American TV debut on October 22, 1999.
