Synopsis by Tracie Cooper
When a Jewish family arrives in Colorado Springs in the midst of the town's Christmas celebration, they are given a less than warm reception, with the notable exception of Dr. Quinn and her family. However, what began as hostile but otherwise uneventful treatment of the Frankels turns ugly when it looks as though they hope to open a business that may compete with Loren's general store. Before long, Loren succeeds in stirring up prejudice among the townspeople, and goes so far as overturning the Frankel patriarch's peddler cart during their Hanukkah celebration. Saddened once again by her neighbors' behavior, Dr. Mike sets off to convince the town that their actions are unwarranted, and hopes to avoid the Frankel family developing their own prejudices because of the town's shameful actions.
