Synopsis by Augustine Chay
Writer-director Dieudo Hamadi’s documentary focuses on the plight and resilience of the survivors of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Six-Day War of 2000: a confrontation between Ugandan and Rwandan forces around the Congolese city of Kisangani. After fighting against official indifference and apathy for two decades, they decide to take a difficult journey to the capital city of Kinshasa to demand for reparations for their losses.
