This experimental documentary chronicles the origins of the at times overwhelming anxiety and obsessive compulsions that have plagued Robert Hall -- who did not realize he had been repressing memories of his abduction and sexual abuse -- throughout most of his later childhood and adult life. Hall's story is told over a backdrop of black-and-white images, among them wildly spinning dancers, a little boy helping his mother, and an elderly Japanese woman preparing tea. Though the story itself is tragic, Hall offers hope for those suffering from the same disorder. He suggests that the act of focusing, understanding, and eventually conquering human fears results in a type of rebirth.
