Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Produced in the CBC's Toronto studios, the weekly public-affairs program Dollars and Sense was hosted by Gordon Jones, a Canadian TV personality who should not be confused with the American character actor of the same name. Each half-hour episode focused on a different aspect of economics, including Capital, Labor, and the Stock Exchange. The series was seen on Sunday afternoons, the usual "cultural ghetto" for CBC programs of its kind. Dollars and Sense was telecast from October 1, 1972 to June 29, 1975, with occasional summer hiatuses.
