The acclaimed stage director Jérôme Savary helms this Sächsische Staatskapelle production of Austro-Hungarian composer Franz Lehár's late 1905 operetta Die Lustige Witwe (The Merry Widow), mounted at the Semperoper Dresden and performed in 2007. The opera stars Bo Skovhus and Petra-Maria Schnitzer and features musical accompaniment by the Staatsopernchor Dresden.
