Director Nikolaus Lehnhoff brings Franz Schreker's masterwork to the stage in this release of a performance captured live at the Felsenreltschule during the Salzburger Festspiele in July of 2006. Conductor Kent Nagano leads the Konzertvereinigung Wiener Staatsopernchor and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, and Robert Brubaker, Anne Schwanewilms, and Michael Volle star.
