Synopsis by Dennis Proctor
This 1975 instructional video stars former Kansas City Royal's manager Dick Howser. Howser details the offensive, defensive, and conditioning philosophy that has worked for him as both a player and a manager in major league baseball. The program indentifies common errors of performance in individual offensive and defensive skills and how to correct these errors. Hitting, catching, bunting, baserunning, pitching, and sliding techniques are discussed and demonstrated by Howser and company. The 60-minute workout is full of "hands on" instruction by prominent baseball professionals, including Tennessee Volunteers head coach Rod Delmonico, who has since penned many instructional books of his own.
