Elie Wiesel is a Holocaust survivor, Boston University professor, and Nobel Laureate who's written over 40 books. He joins Richard Heffner for this ten-part discussion series in an effort to analyze some of the modern world's most controversial topics. Many viewers may recognize Heffner as the host of the highly respected television series Open Mind. Each chosen topic is reviewed in light of the moral and ethical values that govern most societies. This episode of Dialogues examines the serious ethical questions that must be addressed now that so many advances have been made in the field of genetic engineering. The program is filmed in front of a studio audience.
