Exceedingly slow-paced, this slice-of-life drama by fledgling director B.K. Sanyal (a photographer who produces some sensitive images here) is a generally undistinguished tale about life and its ironies. Three children are seen growing up together in a small village, two boys of disparate economic levels, and a girl. Both boys fall in love with the girl after reaching adulthood and in the end, she chooses to marry the young man from an impoverished family rather than the wealthier lad. Her husband continues his life as a fisherman and the couple are very happy together. Then one day he leaves on a boat that is going to be away for many months, and never returns. After waiting ten years, the presumed widow marries her other childhood friend -- a mistake, as it turns out.
