A frustrated computer programmer teams up with a shady sleight-of-hand artist to compete in a major magic contest that could be their one chance at true happiness. Jason (Joe Tyler Gold) works with computers, but magic is his true passion. Throwing caution to the wind, Jason attempts to master the art of illusion when he happens across Stacy (Valerie Dillman), who harbors nothing but contempt for an industry dominated by chauvinistic males. As a result, Stacy has parlayed her talents into a career as a master pickpocket. Together, Jason and Stacy begin training for the Brotherhood of Magicians Competition. There's no denying they make a great team, but as the competition draws near Stacy's negative influence on Jason threatens to yield unexpected consequences.
