The Opera Australia mounted this 2001 production of Richard Strauss's 2012 opera Der Rosenkavalier, with a cast that includes Cheryl Barker as The Feldmarschallin, Catherine Carby as Count Octavian Rofrano and Manfred Hemm as Baron Ochs auf Lerchenau. The Opera Australia Chorus (under the direction of chorus master Michael Black) and the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra (under the direction of concertmaster Aubrey Murphy) lend musical accompaniment; Andrew Litton conducts. Carl Friedrich Oberle designed the sets and Brian FitzGerald directs for the stage.
